"I am not interested in shocking people. I like to design with a gentler and more familiar approach. I think that familiarity is a very important part of my language, in the sense that you can immediately start a conversation with somebody."

Michael Anastassiades

The complete selection of Anastassiades’ iconic collections for Flos was on display, with a focus on the special edition of the IC collection of lights, his first design for Flos together with the String Lights, this year celebrating their 10th anniversary. The event was attended by over 250 selected guests, including vip press, A&D community, art contacts, creative talents and Italian diplomats in Tokyo.

"I think that Flos is very unique, not only in terms of knowledge but in how it cultivates the culture of design and really supports the designer’s vision throughout the creative process."

"The idea of gold was not about value or price but celebrating permanence, the idea that the IC has been constantly successful for this entire period of time rather than making a comeback."
